The rate of temperature rise, location of the thermal control, the electrical load and the mass of the application can greatly affect cycling (operational) characteristics of a thermal control. Because of these variables, we recommend that you Conduct testing of our products specifically in your application.

Included in this web site are the specification sheets for each of our models of thermal controls. These describe the basic features of our thermostats and thermal protectors. We have included outline drawings which give the relative sizes of our controls. We have also listed representative electrical ratings for each model, based on the end application.

We have realized that each application for our thermal controls is unique in one form or another. Because of this, we do not offer what is considered a "standard" product. We offer a wide range of options including the calibration temperature range and tolerances. The length of the lead wires, Mounting brackets, Terminals and the type of insulation material that you require is determined by you. We will customize our thermal controls to fit the individual requirements of your application. Heater Applications
This group includes applications such as cartridge heaters, disc-type heaters, foil and silicone heaters. These are generally OEM products such as Water Heater, Coffee Maker, Wax Heater, Rice Cookers, Food Warmers, and Room Heaters.

Heating Pads and Blankets
In this application, the thermal cutouts are used to maintain the temperature of the product at comfortable level. The safety of user is also very important. Our thermal cutouts are used to limit or regulate the temperature of these products.

Temperature Sensor Applications
This category covers a wide variety of applications. Our cutouts are used to either monitor the temperature of a device, regulate the temperature of a device, or limit the temperature of a device. The thermal cutouts usually do not carry the full current load in these applications.

Appliance Applications
Thermostats are used in home appliances to protect them from Over Heating. These are generally OEM products such as Vacuum Cleaners, Washing Machines, Microwave Ovens, Dish Dryers. Models listed under this section have maximum contact ratings of up to 24 amps/120 volts AC and 16 amps/240 AC. All current loads are resistive. Motor Applications
This category covers the use of our thermal cutouts in all types of motor applications. Our devices are used in AC and DC motors that range from sub-fractional HP and above.

Transformer Applications
Thermal controls in this category are used for the protection of the primary or secondary of a transformer coil or power supply. These controls normally operate on a combination of the increase in temperature and current in the application.

The thermal cutouts used for this application to protect the automotive parts from over heating. The Over Heating can be due to Mechanical or Electrical reasons.

Battery Pack Applications
This application group refers to rechargeable battery packs for all portable power applications. The thermal cutouts for this group either control the charge rate of the battery packs or limit the current under short circuit conditions.

Electronics Applications
This category consists of variety of applications. Most of our thermal cutouts used in these applications protect an overheat condition of a circuit board .
